Citrus College couldn't hold off Santa Monica College in a three-set loss (25-22, 25-12, 25-22).
The Owls drop to 5-17 overall and 2-5 in Western State Conference action, while the Corsairs improve to 15-6 on the year, 6-1 in conference.
Faith Evaro was on fire for the Owls, finishing with 10 kills and just one error on 22 attempts to boast a .409 hitting percentage.
Vanessa Marquez dished out 12 assists, while Desiree Reyes chipped in six kills.
The Owls are back in action next week, hosting Glendale College on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest.
