Women's Basketball Comeback Falls Short in Season Opener

TORRANCE, Calif. – The El Camino Warriors showed valiant effort in tonight's season opener against LA Valley, despite the 60-62 loss. The Warriors led through much of the second half, but the Monarchs took over the lead with two minutes to play. The Warriors had two opportunities to tie the game in the final minute, but could not convert their free throws.  

Meghan Peneueta (Redondo Union HS) scored 16 points overall. Hunter Noa (Redondo Union HS) came off the bench scored 8 points in the first half and 16 points overall. The Warriors defense was persistent and their overall game play was phenomenal. Regardless of tonight's loss, the women's basketball team looks ready for another great season.

The El Camino Warriors are 0-1 to start the season. The Warriors face West LA Wednesday, November 16 at West LA at 6:00pm.
