LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team dropped to 2-12 at home this season with a 4-1 loss to Bakersfield College, Tuesday afternoon.
At times this season the Marauders have shown signs of being a dominant team, but not as of late, as AVC has lost 11 of its past 13 games including dropping eight in a row at Marauder Stadium.
Clayton Rabiej had an impressive showing on the mound as he only allowed three runs on three hits, while striking out five. However, Bakersfield's Hudson Hartley out-dueled Rabiej as he pitched eight strong innings, scattering only five hits, allowing no runs and striking out eight.
For the second game in a row Arturo Sanchez was 2-for-4 for the Marauders and teammate Timothy Dodd was 1-for-4 with a double. Dodd has hit safely in eight of his last nine games.
