SAN JACINTO - The Marauder women's basketball team picked up its first victory of the season with an impressive 56-39 victory over Southwestern College, Friday night at the Mt. San Jacinto College Tournament.
Makaela Manson led the Marauders (1-2) with 18 points despite only shooting 6-of-21 from the field and only 3-of-18 from 3-point range.
"The win felt good, but we need to improve on our mistakes," Manson said. "I thought we played well. I think we need to capitalize on other team's turnovers."
Deja Smith finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds and four assists, while Katilin Stephenson had six points and 12 rebounds.
