LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team was seemingly in control heading into the top of the ninth inning with a comfortable three-run lead, however, West LA College put up four runs and held on to a 7-6 victory over AVC, Thursday afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
Griffin Hagen was solid on the mound for the Marauders as he allowed only two earned runs, while striking out five in 7 1/3 innings pitched.
AVC pounded out 16 hits and took a 6-3 lead heading into the top of the ninth innings. Michael Behen was 4-for-5 with two runs scored. Ethan Avant and Anthony Parisi each collected three hits for the Marauders and Parisi led the team with two RBI. Both Avant and Parisi doubled.
