Warriors Softball Defeats LA Valley Monarchs In Five Innings

TORRANCE, Calif. – The Warriors now 3-0, defeated the LA Valley Monarchs in five innings, 22-1. The Warriors proved their strength defensively and offensively throughout the game.

"I feel like our bats came alive. We did a good job at having good at-bats and not swinging at bad pitches", coach Jessica Rapoza commented. The Warriors had 16 hits and only one error.

Natalie Francis closed out the game, despite an ankle injury early in the season. "It is nice to get back to having her in the game", stated Rapoza.  She continued, "the defense helped back the pitchers, which created great energy overall."

Jasmine Krauss also had a great day at the play. Krauss went 3 for 3 and had phenomenal hitting. 

The Warriors (3-0) are playing back-to-back at home Friday, facing Fullerton at 10 am and facing Canyons at 2:00 pm.
