LANCASTER - The Marauder softball team remained perfect on conference play following a 3-1 victory over LA Mission, Tuesday afternoon.
The game was originally scheduled as a road game for AVC, however, the threat of rain in Sylmar moved the game to Marauder Stadium.
Taylor Roberts had her usual day at the office. She pitched a complete game, while allowing only one unearned run and six hits. She also struck out four batters. Roberts was just as solid on at the plate as she hit her sixth home run of the season in the bottom of the third inning giving her team a 3-0 lead.
Her two RBI on the season gives her 29 for the season which ranks her tied for second in the state. Last season the Marauders were 1-2 in individual RBI as Paige Johnson (Cal-State, Bakersfield) finished with 99 and Dolly Stevens (Fresno State) finished with 68.
AVC is 2-0 in conference play and ranked No. 8 in Southern California.
