LANCASTER - The Marauder baseball team allowed 23 hits and 15 runs as it was defeated by Citrus, 15-11, in 10 innings on Thursday in the conference opener for both teams.
AVC had four players with multiple hits including Kyle Lathrop, Jonathan Cornish, Blake Leidholdt and Anthony Parisi. Parisi and Leidholdt each had three RBI for the Marauders.
AVC battled back from a two-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth inning led by Lathrop's RBI triple which sent the game into extra innings.
