Sporting a #7 ranking in the latest ITA Southern California rankings, the Marauders picked up their first road victory of the year, defeating Mt. San Jacinto College 7-2.

In doubles play, #1 Sydney Bush and Nicole Padilla won 8-2, #2 Jocelyn Ortega and Kaelin Vasquez fell into an early 1-4 deficit and fought throughout the match before losing 5-8, and #3 Arianett Avina and Emily Lopez raced out to a 4-1 lead. The #3 team from Mt. San Jacinto had to retire due to injury.
In singles play #1 Bush won 6-2,6-2, #2 Padilla won 62,6-1, #3 Ortega lost 1-6,2-6, #4 Vasquez won 6-0,6-0, #5 Avina won 6-2,6-3, and #6 Lopez won 6-1,6-0.
Head coach Justin Webb noted, "Throughout the whole lineup, it was a very solid performance. In many of the matches, there were long rallies, and we executed well and ended them in our favor. I look forward to our continued improvement."
The Marauders return to conference play at College of the Canyons on Tuesday, February 13th, at 2:00 PM.
