LANCASTER - Marauder women's head coach Barry Green said that his team must at lest finish 9-1 in conference to have a shot at making the post season.
In order to do that one of those victories had to come against conference favorite and No. 15 ranked team in the state, LA Valley College.
The Marauders put themselves in a good position as they upset the No. 7 team in Southern California with a come-from-behind 64-58 victory over the Monarchs, Wednesday night at Marauder Gymnasium.
AVC's defense held the Monarchs scoreless the final 5 1/2 minutes of the game, en route to the victory.
Kaitilin Stephenson led the Marauders with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Shaw added 10 points and eight rebounds.
