Marauder Women's Basketball wrapped up their regular season home schedule with a 75-74 overtime win over Citrus. The conference victory over the Owls marks the sixth straight win for the Marauders as they have not lost a game in the month of February.
Antelope Valley had a 5-point lead at halftime, but Citrus fought back to tie it 68-68 at the end of regulation. In overtime, the Marauders rallied behind the scoring of Cierra Steemer (4) and Key'illa Barnes (2) for the 1-point win, but it was Courtney Hart who provided a game-high 29 points and 18 rebounds for AVC. She also recorded 6 assists.
Steemer finished with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Bridgett Ignacio had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Allysa Taylor had 9 boards and 4 points. Key'illa Barnes scored 6, with Deja Taylor and Amber Jordan chipping in 2 points each. The Marauders shot 48.4% from the field while limiting the Owls to 40% on the day.
AVC improved to 9-4 in conference and 17-10 overall. Their last regular season game will be on the road at Glendale on Friday.
