GLENDALE - Blake Leidholdt had a solid effort on the mound as he allowed only three runs in 8 1/3 innings pitched while striking out four, but Glendale had just enough offense to hold off the Marauder baseball team with a 4-3 victory at Glendale College.
Ethan Avant provided the offensive spark for AVC as he hit his fifth home run of the season and added two RBI. Avant's home run came in the top of the third inning which gave the Marauders a 2-1 lead. AVC extended that lead to 3-1 in the top of the seventh inning following a solo home run by Trevor Morrison .
The Vaqueros responded with three runs int he bottom of the ninth inning to steal the victory.
