In just his third year at MiraCosta Coach Kai Harris has built a program to be proud of.  This year the Spartans have committed themselve to a style of play that is both fun to watch and difficult to play against for their opponents.  In their second game of the season MiraCosta hosted Victor Valley College.  The pace of the contest was fast and furious with the final score 66-46 in favor of the Spartans.

Leading the way for MiraCosta was freshman guard Britney Jarvis, scoring 19 points. Freshman Forward Tervetta McGee added nine points with some strong drives to the rim. Teya Searles and Aracely Garcia both scored eight points.

The game had a total of 58 fouls and lasted a total of over two hours but when the buzzer went off the Spartans had done enough to win the game comfortably.

MiraCosta will next be in action on Friday November 17th at the San Diego City College tournament.
