OXNARD - Since suffering a 13-5 defeat at the hands of No. 1 Cypress, the Marauder softball team hasn't seemed to be fazed.
In fact, over its past two games AVC has defeated its opponents by a combined 27-1 margin, including Thursday's 19-1 victory over Oxnard on the road.
Taylor Roberts and Ashley Fiorelli combined to go 7-for-8 with eight RBI and three runs scored. At least 10 different players had a hit for the Marauders and nine different players had at least one RBI. AVC scored two or more runs in every inning before the game was called after five inning due to the mercy rule.
Isabelle Gomez was stellar on the mound as she only pitched two inning and retired all six batters, five of those coming via the strikeout.
