College of the Canyons freshman golfer Joanna Roecker is the Western State Conference Female Athlete of the Week for Week #6. Roecker earned the honors after posting the lowest two round total during the two WSC Events that took place during the week. On Monday, Roecker fired a 77 at Antelope Valley Country Club for the WSC Event hosted by Antelope Valley College. Roecker’s 77 was two strokes back of the low-woman on the day Santa Barbara’s Vanessa Watkins. Two days later at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course, Roecker was the low-woman of the day with a round of 74 in the WSC Event hosted by Citrus College. That gave her a two-day total of 151, four strokes lower than the next closest individual. Roecker prepped at Granada Hills Charter High School in Granda Hills, CA.
