The Western State Conference Men's Water Polo champions, Cuesta College, finished third in this weekend's CCCAA Southern California Regionals. The Cougars were one of two teams from the WSC in this weekend's post-season tournament.
Cuesta opened up the weekend with a 13-12 win over #5 Riverside City College in the second round. That win put the Cougars up against #1 Long Beach City College in the semi-finals. In that match, the Cougars fell 10-4, before rebounding against #6 Grossmont College with a 11-10 win to claim third place.
The other competing team Ventura College, defeated #8 Mt. San Antonio College 15-11 in the first round, but fell in the second round to Long Beach 14-5.
