WSC South Post-Season Awards Announced from Women’s Soccer

The 2019 Women's Soccer All-Western State Conference South Division team has been released. Leading the way were the Offensive Player of the Year in Antelope Valley College's Evencia Welsh (SO), Defensive Player of the Year in Citrus College's Zeanna Silva (SO), Goalkeeper of the Year in Los Angeles Valley College's Isabel Kiledjian (SO), and Coach of the Year in Citrus College's Tim Tracey.

Welsh was the top scorer in the entire WSC, with 21 goals this past season. She also finished second in assists with nine. By season's end, Welsh had accumulated 51 points, also the top mark in either WSC division.

Silva was part of a defense that acquiesced just 24 goals this year, the fifth fewest in the WSC. Citrus posted a 1.11 GAA (also the fifth fewest in the conference). Silva also served as a major part of Citrus' set pieces, pounding home four goals this season. 

Kiledjian meanwhile ended up with 99 saves in 2019, the fifth most in conference. She posted an .832 save percentage, which ranked third in the entire WSC and first in the WSC South. Her GAA of 0.95 was the second best mark in the WSC South, and was fourth overall in the WSC. Kiledjian also posted eight shutouts on the year.

For Tracey, it's the third Coach of the Year nod, as he helped lead the Owls to their first ever Western State Conference South Division title. Citrus finished the season 15-6-1 overall and 12-2 in WSC South play.
