SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Five Western State Conference programs were recognized in the sixth edition of the CCCWVCA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced by the state office on Monday afternoon.
Ventura led three teams from the WSC North as the No. 9 selection, followed by No. 18 Moorpark and No. 24 Santa Barbara City. Santa Monica and Bakersfield represented the southern division of the league after being tabbed at No. 23 and No. 25, respectively.
The Vaqueros and the Renegades both currently sit atop their respective division standings with spotless conference records thus far.
San Joaquin Delta College was placed at the top of the list as the lone women's volleyball team in the state to still boast an undefeated record. The Mustangs are tied with Sierra atop the Big 8 standings, both at 6-0. Last week, Delta swept Folsom Lake and defeated Sacramento CC in four.
