Volleyball Wraps Up Season

Citrus College Women's Volleyball wrapped up thier 2024 season by competing in back-to-back days last Friday and Saturday, November 15th & 16th. 

The Owls traveled to Glendale College last Friday night, resulting in a 3-1 loss (25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-17). Citrus did manage to keep most sets close, but the Vaqueros were able to earn the win. The Owls were led by McKenna Cooper with 17 kills, Samantha Flores with eight kills and Tara Biscan with seven kills. Raegen Johnson led the Owls with 35 assists and added nine digs. Isabel Luna recorded a team-high 16 digs while McKenna Cooper had 12 digs and Amanda Garcia had 10 digs. 

On Saturday Citrus College played another road match against Cuesta College which they lost in four sets (20-25, 27-25, 16-25, 22-25). In thier final game of the season, the Owls competed with the Cougars, keeping sets alive and winning a close second set. The Owls were led by McKenna Cooper with 21 kills, Tara Biscan had 5 kills and Samantha Flores recorded four kills. Isabel Luna had a game-high 25 digs followed by Alexia Avalos with 11 digs. Raegen Johnson had a game-high 31 assists while adding eight digs and one kill. Danielle Erlandson recorded a solo block in the game. 

Citrus College ends its 2024 season going 5-18 overall and 4-8 in conference games.
