In a season where the GCC Baseball Team dominated the WSC South in route to winning the title with a 20-1 record and finished the season 28-11-1 overall, Glendale finished the conference slate and the regular season with three wins over Citrus College, 22-6 on April 22, 8-7 on April 24 and 8-3 April 25.
In the April 25 win over Citrus by the score of 8-3, Dylan Sidell led GCC with three hits including a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Alex Dolan, Daniel Ruiz, David Lozano and James Harrington all had two hits and Lozano added a double and Jake Price homered. John Trainor started for Glendale and went three inn innings and Liam Thatcher got the win after his three innings of work and Diego Barajas finished with three innings on the mound.
The Southern California Regional Playoffs are slated to start May 2-3 and the GCC should be to be a first-round host as conference champions and by virtue of their No. 6 ranking in the most recent CCCBCA poll.
