The Men's Soccer team dropped two games on the road this past week.
In the first game of the week, the Raiders traveled to Compton for a morning start in hopes of beating the heatwave that had affected several games. Instead it was Compton that had the upperhand in a 4-2 loss for the Raiders.
The Raiders stuck quickly in the first 3 minutes as Troy Mishkanian found the back of the net with an assist from Diego Estrada. The quick goal seemed to wake up the Tartars as the Raiders found themselves behind 3-1 at the half. The Raiders scored the first goal of the 2nd half as Marcos Hernandez got one past the Compton keeper in the 63rd minute. Mishkanian had the the assist. 3-2 Raiders trail. Compton added an insurance goal in the 89th minute to close out the game.
In their second contest of the week, the Raiders headed to Lancaster to take on Antelope Valley. The Marauders opened the scoring in the 8th minute and it would stay 1-0 until the 37th minute as Uzi Diaz found an opening to tie the game at the half 1-1. In the 50th minute, it was Diego Estrada that found the back of the net, 2-1 Raiders. The Marauders scored two goals in the next 13 minutes to take a 3-2 lead and made it stick. The Raiders had 8 shots in the 3-2 loss
The Raiders have a bye on Tuesday and will host Cypress on Friday, 9/20 at 3p
