2014 Western State Conference Women's Tennis news
The doubles team of Juliana Nelkin and Kaori Tsuda ended up with a runner-up finish at the 2013 California Community College Athletic Association Women’s State Doubles Championships recently. Nelkin and Tsuda lost in the State Finals 6-4 and 7-5.
The 2013 California Community College State Playoff seedings were announced recently and the Western State Conference will be represented by both Santa Monica College and Glendale College.
Santa Barbara City College freshman Bruna Magalhaes was named the Western State Conference Player of the Year recently, while Santa Monica’s Richard Goldenson was named the WSC Coach of the Year.
Santa Barbara City College’s Freshman Bruna Magalhaes won the 2013 California Community College Athletic Association Women’s State Singles Title recently. It is the first State Singles Title by a Vaquero in the Women’s Tennis Program history.
