LANCASTER - The Marauder men's soccer team managed its third tie of the season, with a 2-2 match against conference powerhouse Victor Valley College, Tuesday evening at Antelope Valley College.
The Marauders (4-5-5, 0-0-3) have had ties with the top three teams in the conference, Victor Valley, Citrus College and Glendale College.
"Im very proud of my team today as they came into this match knowing they could beat the toughest team in the Western State Conference," AVC head coach Jerry Stupar said. "We not only matched their physical play but witnessed a Victor Valley team excited over a tie cheering like they won the match."
The Marauders scored two goals in the first half and led 2-0 at intermission. Matt Fletes and Jose Mojica each had a goal for the Marauders. Mojica has scored 15 goals on the season which ranks him No. 5 in the state.
