The Oxnard College Men’s Soccer team continued to have a stranglehold of the Western State Conference Men’s Soccer scene as it won it’s fifth straight conference title in 2016. It was also the first ever Western State North title as the 2016 season was the first year in which the conference split into two divisions.
The Victory Valley College Men’s Soccer team made a statement in it’s first ever season as a member of the Western State Conference. The Rams won the first ever WSC South Title, the 2016 season was the first ever year in which the WSC was split into two divisions for Men’s Soccer, clinching it in the final game of the conference slate.
The Oxnard College Men’s Soccer program continued it’s dominance of the Western State Conference in the 2015 season en route to the school’s first ever CCCAA State Championship. The Condors outlasted LA Mission for their fourth straight WSC title and also swept the WSC’s top awards for the second straight year.
Oxnard College, winner of the Western State Conference Men’s Soccer Championship for the third straight season, swept the top post-season awards for the conference recently. Sophomore forward Johnny Lopez was named the conference Most Valuable Player, while Head Coach Ross Greaney was named the Coach of the Year for the fifth year running.
The Oxnard College Men’s Soccer program wrapped up it’s third straight Western State Conference Championship recently. It’s the Condors’ fourth WSC title in the last five year and their sixth overall.
Headed into Western State Conference Men’s Soccer play on Tuesday, the WSC looks to be up for grabs. Only two teams currently sit above .500, and five are still searching for they first victory. None of that will matter though as the records will go out the window, once that first whistle blows.
Oxnard College, the lone representative of the Western State Conference in the 2013 Men’s Soccer Southern California Regionals, bowed out of the post-season this past weekend in the second round. The Condors were knocked out by SoCal #2 seed San Bernardino Valley College 2-0.
The 2013 Western State Conference Men’s Soccer All-Conference list was announced recently. Oxnard College’s Ross Greaney was named the Coach of the Year, while Santa Barbara City College’s Adam Colton was named the player of the year.
The Oxnard College Men’s Soccer program wrapped up it’s fourth Western State Conference Title in the last four years. Under Head Coach Ross Greaney’s guidance the Condors went 15-5-1 overall and 13-1-1 in WSC play, for a conference best 43 points.
Western State Conference Men’s Soccer Champion Oxnard College, was the only team to qualify for the 2013 post-season. The Condors, winners of 11 straight, were given the #10 seed in the 14 team post-season tournament.
