LANCASTER - For the second time in as many games, the marauder men's soccer team was shut out, this time falling to Moorpark College, 2-0, Friday evening at Marauder Stadium.
AVC head coach was complimentary of the Raiders' defensive effort.
"We discussed in pre-game theory that their attack would be limited due to their goals this season. They only average 1.1 goals per game and a lucky goal would cause them to pack their back for a 1-0 win, a strategy that worked for them today," he said. "We came out very flat today and lack of possession in the attacking third of the field due to their packed zone defense limited our opportunities."
Jose Mojica was held scoreless for the second consecutive game, however, he is still tied for fourth in the state in goals (12).
