  • SBCC and Oxnard Share Post-Season Awards

    After splitting the 2015 Western State Conference North Division title it was only fitting that the Santa Barbara City College and Oxnard College Baseball teams shared the post-season awards for the conference. Oxnard’s Blake Redman was named both the Pitcher of the Year and the Co-Player of the Year along with Santa Barbara’s James Hill. Managers Jeff Walker of Santa Barbara and Jon Larson of Oxnard were both named the Co-Coaches of the Year.
  • Wolyniec, Hamilton, and Cicuto Claim WSC South Honors

    The 2015 Western State Conference South Division post-season honors have been announced. Glendale College sophomore outfielder Nick Wolyniec and Los Angeles Mission College sophomore starting pitcher Aaron Hamilton were named the conference Player and Pitcher of the Year. Glendale Head Coach Chris Cicuto meanwhile claimed Coach of the Year honors.
  • Oxnard and Santa Barbara Share WSC North Title

    It took all 24 games, and still when the 2015 regular season came to a close, there were a pair of teams standing. Oxnard College and Santa Barbara City College, who both battled for supremacy in the WSC North all season long, had to settle for a share as the two teams are co-champions in the WSC North. It's the 7th overall title for Oxnard and second straight, while it's the 4th overall for Santa Barbara and first since 2011.
  • Glendale Wins 8th Conference Championship

    It took until the final day of competition, but the Glendale College Baseball team outlasted a hard charging Los Angeles Mission College team to win their 8th overall Western State Conference Championship and their fourth in the last five seasons.
