LA Mission Softball Team Clinches WSC South Title

Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles Mission College Eagles soared to victory on April 23rd as they clinched the Western State Conference South Division title with an impressive 13-0 win against LA Valley at home. | ORIGINAL RELEASE

Under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Hylland, the Eagles achieved a historic triumph, marking the first time since 2009 that the softball program has secured a conference championship. Throughout the regular season, the Eagles demonstrated their prowess on the field, finishing with an outstanding overall record of 25-13 and a conference record of 9-3. Notably, the team's 25 victories solidify their place as the third-winningest team in program history.

Reflecting on their journey to victory, the Eagles showcased their determination and skill in a series of memorable games, including notable wins against Canyons, Citrus, Glendale, and Antelope Valley.
