Canyons’ White Takes Second at Pan Am Junior Championships

College of the Canyons' Tim White took second place in the Triple Jump at the Pan American Junior Championships recently. White lost the title on a tie breaker with Cuba's Lazaro Martinez in Medellin, Columbia.

White set a personal best mark at the event with a leap of 54 feet, 1 ¼ inches. Unfortunately for White, Martinez also matched the mark and won the tie breaker between the two standout athletes thanks to his second longest attempt. White was participating in the prestigious event thanks to his winning the U.S. Junior National Outdoor Track and Field Championships back in June.
