LA Pierce Grabs WSC North Crown In Final Game of Year

In their first season in the Western State Conference North Division, the Los Angeles Pierce College Women's Soccer program grabbed the conference crown thanks to a 0-0 tie with Moorpark College in their final regular season contest. The tie gave the Brahmas one point and helped them stave off Ventura College, who finished a point back of Pierce.

In the contest, the Brahmas relied on their defense and the efforts of keeper Jenna Koziol. Koziol stopped four Raider shots to record her fourth shutout of the season. The tie gave Pierce 29 points in conference play just edging the 28 points by the Pirates of Ventura.

Pierce, Ventura, and Santa Barbara are all likely candidates for the 2013 post-season. The post-season announcement by the CCCAA will take place on Tuesday November 19th.
