Los Angeles Pierce College sophomore Desiree Raygoza was named the Western State Conference North Division Player of the Year. In the Coach of the Year Race, Pierce Head Coach Adolfo Perez and Moorpark College's Miguel Ruiz split the honors.

After earning 1st team All-WSC North honors last year, the sophomore defender played a large role as a part of a stingy back line that allowed less than half a goal a game. Raygoza appeared in and started 20 matches for the Brahmas adding a goal and six assists.

Perez and Ruiz split the Coach of the Year honors after both teams were tied at the top of the WSC North Standings with 24 points a piece. For Pierce it was their 10th WSC title overall and second in the last three seasons, while it was Moorpark's fifth conference title and first since 2009. It's the sixth Coach of the Year nod for Perez, while it's the first for Ruiz.
