After claiming it's second straight WSC Championship in just it's second season of competition, the Santa Barbara City College Women's Water Polo team brought home the top honors in the conference. Freshman Mackenzie Richards was named the Player of the Year while Head Coach Chuckie Roth was named the Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Richards, the freshman goalie, was one of the top shot stoppers in the WSC, averaging 6.14 blocks per game. In addition, she allowed just 6.57 goals per game. For Roth, he continued to lay claim to Santa Barbara being one of the top programs in Southern California in just their second year of existence. Roth led the Vaqueros to a 20-13 record overall, 8-1 mark in WSC play, and their second straight conference title.
