Cougar Women's Soccer Loses

 College of the Canyons (3-1-2) scored three goals in the first half and held off a Taft College comeback in a 3-2 non-conference victory over Cougars (3-2-0).

It was TC's second consecutive loss after opening the season 3-0.

Sophomore midfielder Joanna Espinoza scored both Cougar goals. 

Freshman midfielder Emily Galland got an assist and goalkeeper Lizette Gomez, a freshman from Shafter, recorded two saves in the Cougar net.

TC will try to get back on the winning track today when the Cougars host El Camino College in a 1 o'clock game on the San Emidio Street field.  The team travels to San Luis Obispo next Tuesday to take on Cuesta College.
