For the fifth time in the last six seasons and the ninth time overall, the Glendale College Baseball team claimed the Western State Conference South Division Title. The Vaqueros clinched the outright title by completing a sweep of West Los Angeles College on Friday.
The Vaqueros, who went 28-8 overall and 17-4 in WSC South play, held off a hard charging Bakersfield College squad who finished in second place and won eight straight to close out the year. It's their second straight title, with only a a third place finish in 2014, standing in the way of a six-peat.
Glendale will be one of three teams representing the WSC South in the 2016 CCCAA Playoffs. The Vaqueros earned the #2 overall seed, while Bakersfield College was seeded #9 and College of the Canyons #10.
