Men's Water Polo All-Conference Awards Announced, Enloe & Nolan Tabbed as Co-Coach of the Year
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The 2023 Western State Conference men's water polo postseason awards have been announced by the league office.
Greg Enloe (Cuesta) and Gavin Nolan (Citrus) were selected to share the Co-Coach of the Year title. Enloe took the reigns of the Cougars program one month into the season after facing the retirement of the former head coach and the loss of an assistant due to an injury. Cuesta won their first three games under the direction of Enloe and cruised through the remainder of the regular season en route to the program's fourth consecutive conference title.
Nolan led the Owls to a 14-11 year and a third-place showing at the WSC Tournament. Citrus finished the regular season ranked fourth in the State with a 52.1 save percentage, seventh with 302 saves, and ninth with 67 field blocks. Offensively, the Owls averaged 12.72 goals per game, which ranked 15th in the 3C2A.
Cuesta's sophomore center, Dante Ianora, was named as the Player of the Year for the league. The Walnut Creek native recorded 14 goals and three steals through six WSC contests.
