On the Blue side, the outcome literally went down to the final innings. Citrus College needed a split between College of the Canyons and Antelope Valley College, and a sweep of Santa Monica to claim a share. The Owls did just that sweeping the Corsairs with a pair of five inning mercy rule victories. Antelope Valley then claimed the first game between them and the Cougars, but came up just shy in game number two, as the Cougars claimed their share with a 3-2 win. Citrus holds the tie-breaker over Canyons, and thus will be the higher seed of the two teams, once post-season seeds are announced on Saturday.
In the Gold division, the Bulldogs needed a sweep to keep Santa Barbara City College at bay. Allan Hancock did just that, handling their business against Ventura College 10-2 and 12-2 both in five innings. The Bulldogs will be the top seed out of the WSC Gold and will enter the post-season for the first time since 1999.
