  • Conference Champ Canyons Claims Top Awards in WSC East

    College of the Canyons, winners of the 2017 Western State Conference East Division Championship, claimed the top awards in the Western State Conference East Division recently. Freshman outfielder Cole Klescz was named the Player of the Year, while sophomore right hander Justin Dehn was named the Pitcher of the Year. Rounding out the superlatives was head man Chris Cota who took home Coach of the Year honors.
  • 2017 WSC North Baseball Awards Announced

    The Santa Barbara City College Baseball team took home two of the top awards in the Western State Conference North in 2017. Allan Hancock College and Ventura College represented the other two awardees as SBCC’s John Jensen was named the Player of the Year, AHC’s Walker Armstrong the Pitcher of the Year, and SBCC’s Jeff Walker and VC’s Don Adams the Coaches of the Year.
  • Mission is Home to Three of Four WSC South Top Honorees; Pierce the Fourth

    The 2017 All-Western State Conference South Division awards were announced recently. Conference champion, Los Angeles Mission College was home to three of the fourth top honorees, while Los Angeles Pierce College was the home of the fourth. Mission’s Robert Reeves was named the Player of the Year; while Mission’s Anthony Donatella split Pitcher of the Year honors with Pierce’s Tom Wilson. Rounding out the awards was Mission Head Coach Joe Cascione, who was tabbed as the WSC North Coach of the Year.
  • LA Mission Claims WSC South Crown

    The Los Angeles Mission College Baseball team laid claim to the 2017 Western State Conference South Division Championship. It’s just the second title for the Eagles in program history, and the second for LA Mission in the last four years.
  • Canyons Closes Strong; Wins Outright WSC East Title on Final Day of Year

    Down the stretch, the College of the Canyons Baseball team did all it could when it came to taking care of their business in the race for the 2017 Western State Conference East Division Championship. The Cougars went 10-2 in their final 12, including besting Glendale College two out of three games in their final regular season series of the year.
  • Santa Barbara Takes 2017 WSC North Title
    April 30, 2017
    For the fourth time in the last seven years, the Santa Barbara City College Baseball team found itself on top of the Western State Conference North Division standings come seasons end. The Vaqueros went 13-7 on the year, and finished with a two-game lead over second place Cuesta College.
