The College of the Canyons Women's Soccer team continued it's dominance of it's fellow Western State Conference opponents in 2016 after winning it's sixth straight divisional title. The Cougars won the first ever Western State Conference East Division championship, and was the first WSC team to clinch in any division, clinching with a 0-0 tie at Victor Valley College on November 4th.

They controlled their destiny in the WSC East from the jump, winning their first six games in WSC East play by a combined score of 16-0. The tie with Victor Valley on the fourth of November was their first game in conference play where they were held scoreless, and the following contest at Citrus College, featured the first goal they gave up in conference play in a 1-1 tie. By then though, the Cougars had long wrapped up the conference crown.
