The Santa Barbara City College Women's Water Polo program wrapped up its third straight Western State Conference Women's Water Polo Championship in just its third year of existence. The Vaqueros wrapped up a perfect conference campaign with a 15-8 win over second place Ventura College in the Championship Game of the 2016 WSC Championship Water Polo Tournament.

The Vaqueros jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the first quarter, but Ventura managed to stay in the game, cutting the Santa Barbara lead to two midway through the second quarter. That's when the Vaqueros went on a 4-0 run that spanned the end of the first half and went through the third quarter, effectively putting the game away.

Sophomores Kendra Carr and Addison Seale each scored four times in the win, while Seale also assisted on six goals. Goalie Mackenzie Richards had seven saves, an assist, and a steal. For Ventura, Paige Treloar-Ballard netted a game high five goals.
