
Aaron Hedland tabbed to lead the Raiders as new Athletic Director
Aaron Hedland has been named as the interim Director of Athletics at Moorpark College for the 2024-25 academic year. Hedland has been a member of our Raider's staff for the last 13 years, serving as both the head coach for men's volleyball and as an assistant for women's volleyball.
Hedland holds two graduate degrees from Concordia University - Irvine with a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration and a Master of Sciences in Coaching and Exercise Science. He has also obtained two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California – San Diego in History and Sociocultural Anthropology. Hedland is also a former Moorpark College student-athlete having played volleyball from 2005-2007, earning All-Western State Conference and Scholar Athlete honors.
Hedland shared, "My time spent at Moorpark College as a student-athlete and as an educator has shaped my life immensely. I am very excited for the opportunity to serve as Athletic Director. In this new role, I hope to pay those experiences forward and contribute to Moorpark College Athletics' commitment to excellence and student success. I look forward to getting to know everyone better and to working with you all."
He replaces Matt Crater who left to become Athletic Director at College of the Canyons.
