Bakersfield Women's Tennis Claim Western State Conference Champions

BAKERSFIELD, CA—The Bakersfield College women's tennis team officially claimed the Western State Conference Champion on Monday when they swept LA Mission 9-0. Although the team still had another conference game the following day against Glendale, whom they also swept 9-0, the Renegades were the only team to have won all their conference matches.

The team finished 16-0 in the regular season, marking the first time in the school's history that the program finished undefeated. Bakersfield has previously won the conference five times: 1988, 1999, 2006, 2017, and 2023.

BC will wait for their playoff contentions as they are expected to host on April 8th for the start of 3C2A Southern California Regionals. More information will be posted on the website soon.
