Glendale Women Finish 2nd, Men 7th at SoCal Championships

Glendale College Men's and Women's Cross Country programs paced the Western State Conference effort at this past weekend's Southern California Championships hosted by College of the Canyons. The Vaquero women had the highest WSC team finish in 2nd place, and the men had the highest WSC team finish with 7th place.

The women finished a strong second place behind first place Orange Coast College. The Vaquero women had a score of 140, with Elizabeth Nelson leading the charge finishing 4th place individually with a time of 18:59. Moorpark College's Rachel Naumann had the best individual finish nabbing 3rd place with a time of 18:48.

On the men's side it was Glendale who bested College of the Canyons with a seventh place finish, just better than the Cougars' 9th place finish. Santa Barbara City College's Ian Roberts had the best individual finish, grabbing second place overall with a time of 20:55. Canyons' Robert Pion finished 14th overall (21:21), while Glendale's Daniel Marin was a 20th place finisher (21:34).
