Glendale Women Finish 2nd at State; Canyons Men 9th
The Glendale College Women’s Cross Country program had the highest WSC finish at the 2013 CCCAA State Championships recently, as the Vaqueros finished 2nd. On the men’s side it was College of the Canyons who came in 9th overall.
The Glendale College Women's Cross Country program had the highest WSC finish at the 2013 CCCAA State Championships recently, as the Vaqueros finished 2nd. On the men's side it was College of the Canyons who came in 9th overall.
The Vaqueros were paced by Elizabeth Nelson who finished 3rd overall as an individual with a time of 18:01.87. Nelson just held off WSC foe Rachel Naumann of Moorpark, who finished 4th with a time of 18:03.26. Naumann's teammate Karla Vernola had the only other WSC Top 10 finish, as she came in 9th with a time of 18:32.39.
On the men's side, Canyons was led by Rodrigo Ornelas who finished 24th overall with a time of 21:03.15. Santa Barbara City College's Ian Roberts had the best finish by a WSC runner, coming in 7th place overall with a time of 20:28.59.
