Oxnard College and Los Angeles Mission College won the 2014 Western State Conference North and South Division Baseball Titles.

The Oxnard College and Los Angeles Mission College Baseball teams wrapped up their respective WSC North and South Titles recently. The Condors clinched the North title with a 6-5 win 10-inning win over Santa Barbara City College on the 11th, while the Eagles did so on Tuesday with a 4-0 victory against College of the Canyons.

Oxnard dominated the competition in the WSC North, with wins in 12 of it's first 14 conference contests. The Condors experienced a minor slump when they lost three straight during the first couple of weeks of April, but they rallied with that 10 inning 6-5 win over the Vaqueros to clinch the title. As of this release, Oxnard is ranked #1 in the South, and will almost assuredly garner a top seed in the playoffs when they are announced early next week.

Mission meanwhile, may have snuck up on some teams, after heading into conference play as losers of five straight. The Eagles caught fire at the right time though, starting off WSC South play with nine straight victories and wins in 16 of their first 17 contests. Only a pair of losses in the second week of April kept Mission from clinching earlier. They finally did so on Tuesday with a shutout of the Cougars. Mission is currently ranked #8 in SoCal and should host in the first round of the post-season.
