WSC North champion Ventura College (25-5) earned the top seed, coming in at #4 in SoCal and will host #13 Fullerton College on Friday evening.

Dahl and Page Sweep WSC South Women’s Basketball AwardsFebruary 24, 2015Bakersfield College Head Coach Paula Dahl and sophomore center Nakia Page swept the top award in the Western State Conference South Division over the weekend. Dahl was named the Coach of the Year, while Page took home Player of the Year honors.

At the end of the night, Bakersfield College stood at the top of the heap, as they best second place Antelope Valley College 52-43.

Ventura Wins Outright WSC North Title; 25th Straight for Mircetic and CoFebruary 19, 2015After clinching at least a share of the 2015 Western State Conference North Division Championship on Saturday with a 63-47 win over Santa Barbara City College on Saturday, the Ventura College Women’s Basketball program clinched the outright title on Wednesday evening with a ??-?? win at Oxnard College. It’s the 25th consecutive conference title for Head Coach Ned Mircetic and company, the 28th overall, and their 23rd outright conference championship.

Women’s Basketball: 2015 Conference PreviewJanuary 07, 2015The 2015 Western State Conference North and South Division Women’s Basketball races officially begin tonight. In the North, it looks like it will be a two horse race with defending State Champs, Ventura College looking to win their 24th straight conference crown, with Cuesta College looking to be their biggest threat. In the South, Bakersfield College has ran roughshod through its pre-conference schedule, but three other schools are over .500, with a fourth sitting right at .500, and a fifth, the defending conference champs, just one game back.
