Hancock Nearly Sweeps WSC North Superlative Awards; Ott & Kirk Share GK of the Year Title

Allan Hancock College nearly swept the postseason superlative awards after claiming the program's second consecutive Western State Conference (North) title, and first outright nod in program history, with an 8-1-3 mark against league foes.

The Bulldogs saw two individuals pick up major awards on the postseason list while head coach Billy Vinnedge picked up the Coach of the Year designation for the second season in a row. Cynthia Ramirez was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year after a stellar sophomore campaign. The Arroyo Grande native led the way for the program with 13 goals and seven assists during the league slate while working towards a final count of 31 goals during the 2023 campaign. She was joined by fellow teammate Leslie Ramirez, a critical pillar for AHC's backline, who was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year. Hancock's defense posted four shutouts and a 1.03 goals-against average throughout WSC play.

Moorpark's Emma Ott and Santa Barbara's Anna Kirk shared the Goalie of the Year title. Ott registered a 0.50 goals-against average and allowed just three goals while snagging 21 saves after appearing in the box for six games against WSC North opponents. Kirk finished the conference season with two wins and four ties after collecting 29 saves through 10 contests.
