Santa Barbara City College freshman Bruna Magalhaes was named the Western State Conference Player of the Year recently, while Santa Monica's Richard Goldenson was named the WSC Coach of the Year.

Magalhaes was undefeated in 2013 and won the WSC Individual Crown after defeating Ventura's Sonia Landeros 6-2, 6-3. Goldenson meanwhile steered the Corsairs to a perfect 8-0 conference record and 11-2 record overall.
