
Cougars Claim WSC South Women's Volleyball Crown
The College of the Canyons women's volleyball program locked in the outright 2024 Western State Conference (South) title after turning in an 11-1 record against league foes at the conclusion of the conference slate. This eighth overall title for the program and is the first since 2022.
Sophomore pin hitter Ana Vasquez led the program with 2.90 kills per set en route to a final tally of 258 enders, along with a team-high tally of 39 aces. Morgan Dumlao paced the offense with 5.80 assists per set (493 total) while Sophia Aranzazu chipped in with 198 on the season (3.41/set). Defensively, Presley Golphenee led the way after accumulating 280 digs on the season (3.11 per set) while middle blocker Leah Gillie was tops with 71 blocks.
