  • 12 Current and/or Former WSC Players Drafted in 2014 MLB Draft

    The Western State Conference was once again well represented at the 2014 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft over the past weekend. The WSC had four current players, and seven former players drafted, for a total of 11.
  • Six WSC Teams Qualify for Baseball Post-Season

    A total of six Western State Conference schools have qualified for the upcoming 2014 California Community College Athletic Association Baseball Playoffs. Four teams from the WSC North and four teams from the WSC South will represent the conference in the post-season which starts this week.
  • Witkowski and Cloney Take WSC South Top Honors

    A pair of freshmen took the top honors when the 2014 Western State Conference South Division awards were announced on Sunday. College of the Canyons’ Joseph Cloney was named the Pitcher of the Year, while Los Angeles Mission College’s C.J. Witkowski was named the Player of the Year. In addition, Los Angeles Mission College’s Joe Cascione was honored by his peers, by being named the WSC South Coach of the Year.
  • Eubank is WSC North Player of the Year; Crawford Named Hitter of the Year

    Oxnard College sophomore starting pitcher Luke Eubank was named the Western State Conference North Division Player of the Year on Sunday afternoon. In addition, Ventura College’s Harrison Crawford was named the winner of the Big Stick Award, while Oxnard skipper Jon Larson was tabbed as the Coach of the Year
  • Oxnard and Mission Wrap Up Baseball Titles

    The Oxnard College and Los Angeles Mission College Baseball teams wrapped up their respective WSC North and South Titles recently. The Condors clinched the North title with a 6-5 win 10-inning win over Santa Barbara City College on the 11th, while the Eagles did so on Tuesday with a 4-0 victory against College of the Canyons.
