Bakersfield College nearly swept the postseason superlative awards after claiming the program's fourth consecutive Western State Conference (South) title with a 6-1-3 against league foes.
The Renegades saw three individuals claim major awards on the postseason list. Jordee Magana was selected as the Co-Offensive Player of the Year after registering 11 goals, four assists, and four game-winning goals against conference opponents in his freshman season. Elijah Espinoza picked up the Defensive Player of the Year nod after serving as a critical pillar to BC's backline defense that allowed just nine goals through 10 conference contests. Cesar Navarro was tabbed as the Goalie of the Year with a 0.82 goals-against average and 22 saves in WSC South action.
Antelope Valley's Chisom Ene was also dubbed the Co-Offensive Player of the Year with five goals, three being game-winners, and three assists in conference action.
LA Pierce's head coach, Julio Castillo, rounded out the list of major honorees as the Coach of the Year after leading the Brahmas to a third place finish in the first season of the program's resurrection after a 43-year hiatus.
