  • Moorpark’s Plummer Named Coach of the Year; Ventura’s Campbell Named Player of the Year

    Moorpark College Head Coach Kenny Plummer, in his first year at the helm of the Raiders, was named the Western State Conference North Division Coach of the Year. Ventura College freshman guard Katie Campbell.
  • LA Valley’s O’Connor Named WSC East Player of the Year; Antelope Valley’s Green is Coach of the Year

    After the Los Angeles Valley College and Antelope Valley College Women’s Basketball team’s shared the 2017 Western State Conference East Division Championship, the two schools also shared the top honors for the division. LA Valley’s sophomore wing Diamond O’Connor was named the Player of the Year, while Antelope Valley’s head man Barry Green was named the Coach of the Year.
  • Strong and Davis are Coach and Player of the Year for WSC South

    After winning the program’s first conference title since 2008, the Santa Monica College Women’s Basketball program was rewarded with the top two honors in the Western State Conference South Division post-season awards. Head Coach Lydia Strong, in her 15th season with the program, was named the Coach of the Year, while sophomore forward Lauren Davis was named the Player of the Year.
  • Ventura Claims 27th Straight WSC North Crown

    The Ventura College Women’s Basketball program, winners of the last 26 Western State Conference North Division Championships, claimed their 27th straight late on Wednesday. The Pirates which had clinched at least a share the previous Saturday claimed the outright title with a fourth quarter comeback against a scrappy Oxnard College squad with a 56-50 win over the Condors.
  • LA and Antelope Valley Colleges Share First Ever WSC East Title

    In it’s first ever season as a division, the Western State Conference East Division, saw two teams share the Women’s Basketball title. Los Angeles Valley College and Antelope Valley College shared the crown after both going 9-1.
  • Santa Monica Wins WSC South for First Title Since 2008

    The Santa Monica College Women’s Basketball team wrapped up its first conference title since 2008 on Saturday night. The Corsairs travelled to Los Angeles Pierce College and came back home with a 97-39 victory to hold off an idle Bakersfield College, who ended up in second place one game back.
  • Ventura College Inducts Historic 1996 & 1997 Women's Basketball Teams into VC Hall of Fame

    Over this past weekend, Ventura College inducted it's first ever team into it's illustrious Hall of Fame.
